Studio questions

  • What can I expect?

You're about to begin a journey that’s as unique as you are.

Be patient with yourself—no one gets everything right on day one. Even experienced yogis and barre students continue to learn. Come with an open mind, be ready to move, breathe, sweat, and have fun.

Most importantly, just show up. We’re here to support you every step of the way at BYB!

  • Why is class heated?

Heat helps increase flexibility and reduce the risk of injury—just like heated glass becomes more pliable, your muscles respond similarly. A warm environment allows your body to stretch safely and effectively.

Plus, sweating is a powerful way to detox, boost your immune system, and support weight loss. Not sure about the whole sweaty thing? Give it a try—you might just learn to love it!

  • How often should I come to class?

To build a strong foundation, aim for 10–15 classes in your first 30 days. This jumpstarts your energy, reduces stress, and sets the stage for a pain-free, powerful body.

    Consistency is key:

    • 2–3 times a week: Great for steady progress and overall wellness.
    • 4–6 times a week: Expect powerful, life-changing results over time.

Stick with it—you’ll be amazed at the transformation!

  • What to bring to class?

Wear comfortable clothes that let you move freely and feel your best. Bring water — staying hydrated is key! You’ll also need a yoga mat and towel for class. Don’t have those yet? No problem — we have mats and towels available to rent at the studio.

  • Should I eat before class?

It’s best to practice on an empty stomach. Avoid heavy meals 1–2 hours before class. For early-morning sessions, a small boost like protein or greens powder is plenty.

Come well-hydrated, and consider coconut water afterward—it’s a natural way to restore electrolytes lost through sweat.

At BYB, we believe in balance—in your body, your routine, and your life. We're here to support you every step of the way!

  • I am new to barre/yoga/Pilates, what class should I start with?

  • Can I join a class if I am running late?

  • Is there a place to store my belongings?

    Yes, cubbies and hooks.

  • Do you offer daycare?

Health & Safety

Not at this time — but we welcome you!

While we don’t currently offer dedicated prenatal yoga classes, many of our instructors are experienced in offering modifications for expectant students. If you're pregnant, please let your instructor know before class so we can support you safely and effectively.

  • Do I need to disclose my health conditions to an instructor prior to the class?

    Yes, it’s very helpful.

Letting your instructor know about any injuries, health conditions, or limitations before class helps us offer modifications and ensure your safety. Your information will be kept private, and we’re here to support you in having the best possible experience.
